                  Girls, you had a great season.  Way to finish the season strong!!!  Your
                  coaches and parents are proud of you.   You girls were in every game we
                  played and were lots of fun to watch.  Good luck next year!  You all have
                  bright futures ahead!
 
Jul 5-7       State Tournament
                 Record 0-2
 
                 Lost two close games that could have gone either way ... both losses
                 were to teams that qualified for Nationals: Downey and Los Alamitos. 
                 Congrats to all the National qualifiers, especially our 10U and 12U
                 Poway Diamond teams.
 
                 Note: Our State draw was even tougher than first thought.  Downey
                           finished 2nd at Nationals and Los Alamitos finished 3rd.
 
Jun 28-Jul 1  Escondido Tournament
                     Record 4 Wins 1 Loss
                     Lost by 1 in Semi Finals
 
Jun 22-23  North San Diego County District Tournament
                 Record 3 Wins 2 Losses
                 Tournament Finalists
 
                 Congratulations 14U Diamonds for qualifying for State!!!  You girls played
                 well this weekend.  A big come from behind win in the semi-finals shows
                 how much character this team has.  You battled hard in the finals in
                 a game that could have gone either way.  Once again we had great team
                 spirit and you girls proved you are one of the top teams in the county!
                 Let's keep it going!!!
 
Jun 14-17  Poway Tournament
                 Record 5 Wins 1 Loss
                 Tournament Champions
 
                 Our Diamonds turned it on after an opening game loss.  Every girl
                 contributed to the success of this team.  They played great defense, had
                 terrific pitching, awesome hitting, and tremendous team spirit!  Your
                 coaches and parents are extremely proud of you!!!  Let's continue to
                 work hard this week and keep it going at Districts!
